This one-day course aims to develop an individual’s ability to write features to promote a product, service, or event, or showcase a topic of interest to the writer and the audiences. The course combines narratives with writing exercises that challenge the participants to be very creative in the way they write feature articles to capture and sustain the readers’ interest.

This course is recommended for public relations practitioners, junior communication officers, and editorial contributors to corporate publications who want to learn the rudiments of feature writing. It is also ideal for freelance writers whose tasks include writing features for marketing communication purposes.

The training will be conducted using online video-conferencing facilities that will be hosted by the AIJC. The link to the training session will be shared only with the Resource Person and the training participants for uninterrupted learning. Participants need to ensure their access to reliable internet connectivity during the training sessions.
At the end of the course, the participants will be able to:
- write features on corporate activities,
- distinguish between the different types of features,
- identify which feature leads can readily capture the readers’ attention, and
- demonstrate how to sustain the reader’s interest from start to end of the feature.
Course fee starts at only Php 6,500 per person with slots limited to 10 to 20 participants for the session. For in-house training, fee and scheduled date may change based on the client’s customized needs and availability.
