Reaching out to local and international communicators and students, the Asian Institute of Journalism and Communications (AIJC) will launch its first online Master Class on 23 September 2020, 10:30 a.m. Manila time.

The first topic for the AIJC Master Class is on How to Use Mind Maps for Excellent Writing. It will include both a lecture and workshop.

Those who attend the session will be able to enumerate the steps to undertake BEFORE writing any piece; create a mind map as the preliminary means of unleashing the left brain’s creative powers; and turn a mind map into an outline, which will give a writing piece the structure it will need.

They will also produce their own mind map and learn how to turn it into an outline.

This AIJC Master Class will be taught by the highly-esteemed Dr. Paz H. Diaz, Vice President for Academics.

With over 40 years of experience in 20 developing countries in Asia and Africa, Dr. Paz H. Diaz is a respected educator in the field of communication. She is the former dean of the Faculty of Management and Development Studies of the UP Open University.

Dr. Paz H. Diaz also worked as a consultant with prestigious organizations that include Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit, International Labor Organization, World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, World Vision, and the World Bank.

Aside from Dr. Paz H. Diaz, AIJC Master Class participants can also look forward to meeting an alumnus who will talk about the AIJC graduate school experience. The Graduate School team will also be on hand to answer any questions.
