by Asian Institute of Journalism and Communication,

Due to the overwhelming demand for the AIJC Master Class: How to Use Mind Maps for Excellent Writing by Dr. Paz H. Diaz, Vice President for Academics, the Asian Institute of Journalism and Communication Graduate School will hold the interactive session again on 28 October 2020 at 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon, Manila time.

Dr. Paz H. Diaz, Vice President for Academics, will handle the session. She has over 40 years of experience in the field of communications. She has worked in developing countries in Asia and Africa as a consultant and a trainer. She was a training specialist in the UP Institute for Small-Scale Industries and a faculty member of the UP College of Mass Communication. She was also formerly dean of the Faculty of Management and Development Studies of the UP Open University.

The live session has three objectives for the participants.  They will be able to practice the steps to undertake BEFORE writing any piece; create a mind map as preliminary means of unleashing the left brain’s productive powers; and turn the mind map into an outline, which will give a piece the structure it will need.  Those who register will produce their own mind map, learn how to turn it into an outline, and receive handouts after the event.

Besides Dr. Paz H. Diaz, the AIJC Master Class participants can look forward to meeting an alumnus who will talk about the AIJC Graduate School experience. There will also be presentations from the Graduate School and Professional Development Program units of the AIJC.
