Final Presentation of the Stakeholder Relations Management Class

Final Presentation of the Stakeholder Relations Management Class

Background:

According to Prof. Lady Ochel C. Espinosa, the main objective of today’s class is for the students to be able to know how to manage those expectations that are already on the ground. She also wants the students to be able to identify the kind of impact stakeholders have in relation to their public, and how that actually changes the way you, me, any PR, and any communicator will be able to know, craft stories, craft narratives based not just on the your expectations or perceptions, but on the kind of impact these perceptions and expectations are doing to your bigger world… your big project.”

The class also looked into the engagement strategies they have devised throughout the week. The class was led by Prof. Espinosa to be able to do some planning, which essentially involves stakeholder mapping.

One student, Atty. Karen Advincula Briones picked her two (2) stakeholders: (1) the PAGCOR Board of Directors, which is classified as high power and high influence, and (2) the gaming operators or the operators themselves, which she classified as high power but no influence. This is the POGO industry.

Atty. Briones discussed this from the point of view of the PAGCOR’s Offshore Gaming Licensing Department or the OGLD.  It is the department responsible for issuing licenses of these offshore gaming operators and they also craft policies for the regulation of the operations of these licenses in the country.

Prof. Lady Ochel Espinosa showed several PowerPoint presentations to the class to further clarify who the stakeholders are in an organization and how good relations with them will give the organization the boost it needs to successfully operate and achieve the specific goals set out for everyone in a specific manner.
