Issues Management and Crisis Communication

Proactive Solutions, Effective Management
Many businesses and organizations are constantly facing internal and external threats that can cause significant disruptions. Communication plays a vital role in mitigating these threats, preserving the integrity and credibility of the organization, and ensuring the continuity of its operations. However, communication crises can have far-reaching consequences, impacting not only the organization itself but also its customers, employees, investors, and the wider community. In fact, PwC’s Global Crisis and Resilience Survey 2023 reported that 96% of organizations worldwide have experienced disruption in the past two years, and many of these organizations are lacking the foundational elements of resilience needed to be successful in recovering from a crisis.

To address these challenges, the Asian Institute of Journalism and Communication (AIJC) Professional Development Program (PDP) is proud to offer the short course, “Issues Management and Crisis Communication.” This course is designed to equip both beginners and seasoned professionals with the necessary skills to prepare, respond, and recover from crises effectively. With a focus on practical, real-world scenarios, participants will learn how to navigate ethical dilemmas, make sound decisions, and develop a framework for crisis management.

By enrolling in this course, participants are also expected to gain a deeper understanding of the importance of effective crisis communication, as well as the best practices for managing issues and mitigating risk. They will also have the opportunity to learn from experienced practitioners and engage with fellow professionals in a collaborative learning environment.
